To the Editor:
Many despicable false accusations have been circulating about Cindy McCain (and her husband), and I fear that there will come a day when no decent person will run for office in this country.
Cindy McCain’s father was not born rich. He was a veteran, who, upon coming home from war, sold his car to obtain the means to invest in a small beer distributorship, and through pure guts and hard work, became very successful. Is this not the American dream? Along with making his daughter, Cindy, very wealthy, he taught her to “give back” and she certainly has done that!
Today Cindy remains a very active philanthropist, serving on the boards of many charitable organizations, which provide assistance in countries such as Sri Lanka, Angola, Cambodia and Mozambique. She not only provides huge financial support, but personally oversees and visits the operations. She has personally done so much to make this world a better place and deserves gratitude, not hatred!
