To the Editor:
This is to all the generous customers who donated food during this year’s “Help Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive.
The total amounted to about 800 pounds that was delivered to the Ecumenical Food Pantry at the Second Congregational Church in Newcastle.
The weather was beautiful and the efforts of my fellow carriers all cooperated to make a difference for local families. If some folks forgot, it’s not too late to just drop a donation off at your local Church. Feed the Hungry in whatever way you feel is appropriate to your budget.
We in the Newcastle Post Office sure appreciate the participation locally.
