To the Editor:
Less than a year ago I wrote a Letter to the Editor. At the time the Piper Village developers had just failed to hoodwink Damariscotta voters into enacting the so-called SmartCode.
Now, without any documentation of their planned project, the same developers are asking the Planning Board and Selectman to approve one of the largest rezoning requests in Town history. Why will they not produce the plans? Likely because if they did the rezoning would not be approved.
It’s time for the Town managers to take a stand. It’s simple. Ask the developers of Piper Village to produce their plan or no further consideration will be given to the rezoning request. Simple.
