To the editor:
While Jon Olsen is speaking up for the rest of humanity, I’d like to speak up for the many American service members who didn’t lose their lives because the U.S. did not have to invade the Japanese homeland. Kudos to President Truman and the flight crews of the Enola Gay and Bock’s Car for making the correct decision and carrying it out.
Liberals always like to say the Japanese were on the verge of surrender, but World War II vets that I have talked to say they would never have given up had we not dropped the two atomic bombs.
Lastly, if we are such barbaric and terrible people, why do liberals stay here? Might I suggest a good socialist utopia like Venezuela. Take your own toilet paper, as word has it supplies are low to non-existent.
