There is never a bad time to thank a veteran.
We set aside two special days of the year specifically for our military: Memorial Day which honors the lost; and Veterans’ Day, which honors the living; but really every day is a good day to be grateful.
All the ideals in the world about freedom and liberty and justice are just so much wishful thinking without the ability to back it up with boots on the ground from time to time.
The privileges we Americans enjoy, our ideals, our freedoms, our right to assemble, protest, speak, publish, and move about freely; all of that was created and now maintained by those brave men and women who answered their nation’s call.
To our veterans, thank you. Thank you yesterday, today, and every day.
