To the Editor:
I would like to say thank you twice. Thank you, Big Dave, for working so hard to feed our kids healthy food at Lincoln Academy. (“Big Dave leads LA transition to healthier dining,” LCN, 10/6/11, Page 1)
My third child dines in the cafeteria at LA daily. The improvements Dave has made are appreciated. My son sat at both assemblies, the one with Joel Fuhrman (Sept. 27) and also the assembly with Dave Page (Sept. 30).
The students came away from the first assembly “hearing” Fuhrman’s message but insulted by his lack of tact for the efforts and successes of Mr. Page. Facebook messages flew around like wildfire on Sept. 27 declaring how rude Fuhrman had been to Mr. Page.
I would like to say thank you to LCN for allowing Mr. Page to have his public say regarding Mr. Fuhrman’s speech. Thank you for putting the article on the front page. I read it from start to finish.
