To the Editor:
The Bristol Consolidated School Playground Committee is proud to thank Chris and Heather Leeman for their amazing and incredibly generous idea and then offer to raffle off a Garden Shed built with their own hands. When Mike Hall’s name was drawn as the winner on Oct. 13, the shed raffle had raised $10,202 that was split between the BCS Playground and the South Bristol 8th Grade.
Jen Ribeiro, Bristol Consolidated School Principal, accepted a check for $5,100.00 towards our new playground on Oct. 20. To date, Chris and Heather have made the largest donation to the playground! Another equally important thank you needs to go out to all of those who purchased raffle tickets to help out these two wonderful and deserving causes. Our kids are the future of this community and they are fortunate to have all of us looking out for them!
Chris and Heather… you are making a dream come true for the hard working, deserving students, faculty and community of Bristol. We can not begin to tell you how much we appreciate all that you have done, the building of the shed with your own funds, the gas you have used to cart the shed around for advertising, the time you have so generously given in selling raffle tickets and the smiles that you have had on your faces every single step of the way! Your spirit is unbelievable and your hearts are in the right place. Thank you!
