Olde Bristol Days would not have been as successful as it was this year without the hard work and dedication of Bristol Parks Commissioner Gordon Benner. From Thursday night’s Chicken BBQ and Pete Collins concert to Sunday’s lobster boat races, Gordon helped make Olde Bristol Days 2010 the best ever.
Gordon spent long hours making phone calls, organizing booth applicants, recruiting music for everyone’s enjoyment, finding Rick Newell to lead us in prayer, (thank you Rick), putting together a most wonderful parade that got things underway with a big bang Saturday morning and arranging the spectacular fireworks show Saturday night, just to mention a few of his many tasks,
For all this and more we applaud and thank you, Gordon. You are truly one in a million.
