To the Editor:
A rainy day and I have to go to the transfer station because my bag was full of lobster shells and I couldn’t wait until Friday. I do want to say now the people that use the Bristol transfer station are very aware of things going to trash. When you drive in, you never know what awaits you.
This afternoon I got rigged up and headed there. I got out of my car and prepared to send my bag wherever it goes. I looked down at the rim of the pit and there was a copy of “The Country of the Pointed Furs” by Sarah Orne Jewett.
I thought to myself, what a thoughtful person to leave that on the rim to make someone’s day. I want you to know whoever you are, you made my day.
