To the Editor:
It is very refreshing to see the swarm of support for our “Toys for Edgecomb” effort. It wasn’t that long ago that the Edgecomb Republican committee sat around a table at the Town Hall and brainstormed a way to give back to our town. Sometimes a great idea stays a great idea and never gets implemented. The “Toys for Edgecomb” project has snowballed very quickly.
This is going to be a lean year for a lot of us. That is why the Edgecomb Republican Committee took action. We had just completed our distribution of patriotic stickers, pencils and erasers for Veterans’ Day and wanted to keep our momentum going.
I would like to thank all those who are contributing to this project for our town. When things get tough we need not look to the government. All we need to do is look to each other. It’s the American way.
I invite all Edgecomb Republicans to come see what the buzz is about at one of our monthly meetings.
