To the Editor:
A false empowerment of a citizenry due to a misguided interpretation of a Constitutional right rooted in a partisan control of a judiciary is cause for a larger concern. We are no longer a “free” nation but imprisoned by a perpetual fear of an armed citizenry.
Instead of being able to enjoy unfettered freedom of movement we must expend an inordinate amount of resources to ensure a safe society. We are not “free” when we must design public buildings and schools to “imprison” our children in classrooms; not a conducive environment for higher learning.
Sorry, but I must adhere to brevity as I need to spend time on the construction of a moat surrounding my house as I now fear there are too many armed brethren in the name of freedom.
