To the Editor:
I address my concern to Governor Paul LePage and the Maine Republican Party. We see his ads on TV and they state he and his party are for small business.
We have received a letter from the Maine Department of Transportation regarding the small roadside signs which names and gives direction to our business. The DOT has informed us they are going to raise the cost of each sign from $15 each to $30 each; that is doubling the cost of advertising for the small Maine shop.
That is a huge increase in my opinion: 100 percent. So I wonder if the governor and his party is really for the small businessman or person.
We are truly concerned about the state charging more for the signs.
We run a small business.
