To the Editor:
Living in rural Maine is a choice many of us made intentionally. We like having our privacy while appreciating our good neighbors.
Unfortunately one of the neighbors on our dirt road in Whitefield experienced a break in and theft this week. Although we have always looked out for each other, we have recently formalized a neighborhood watch group and do not intend to let this happen again.
The police are following many leads including tracking down a silver VW jetta seen on the road that day. We thank them for their responsiveness.
