To the editor:
I am writing to you as a part of a class project involving the novel “The Watsons Go to Birmingham.” My classmates and I are contacting newspapers located across the country in a state that we chose to learn more about. I wanted to learn more about Maine and what it is like to live there. I want to visit there to truly experience life on the coast.
I am writing to ask your readers to please write back and tell me things they like about Maine, some interesting facts about the state, and what visitors and tourists can do there. They can write to my school address below. If they could also include the newspaper in which they read my letter, I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time and consideration.
