To the Editor:
On a trip to Brunswick last week, I could not locate a parking space without driving and then walking the length of the Main Street business district. The streets needed grooming, but the sidewalks were treacherous!
I voiced my dismay to the storekeeper and he started to comment on the recent storms as the reason.
I replied, “No excuse. I’m from Newcastle-Damariscotta and our sidewalks are cleared and safe to walk on. Please visit and see what a wonderful job our road crews have done!”
