With a few new and familiar names in our pages this week, we figured it was a good time to introduce – or in some cases, reintroduce – some of our reporters.
Claire Taylor joined us as a general assignment reporter on Oct. 7, 2025. A native of Lansing, Mich., Claire graduated from Kalamazoo College with a degree in English in 2025. She is passionate about storytelling and community involvement, and is honored to get to explore both in Lincoln County through the newspaper.
We welcomed Emily Bracher to the general assignment team on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Emily, who is originally from Key West, Fla., graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication and minors in history and English in December 2025. She is interested in covering a wide range of topics, including the environment, history, and the community as a whole.
We’ve also welcomed back some former LCN staffers Bisi Cameron Yee and Jessica Rivers (Jessica Picard, before her October 2025 wedding) as freelancers. We’re thrilled to have both them and their incredible photography back in the newspaper.
Last but certainly not least, we also have a name that’s neither entirely old or new in this week’s edition. Christina Wallace is now Christina Brown, as she wed Matthew Brown on Feb. 7. We wish the couple, as well as their standard poodle Rafael, all the best!
