Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On May 8, Deputy Justin Drake was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief to a mailbox in the Dresden area. The complainant said a vehicle struck her mailbox, causing minor damage. Further investigation to continue as new leads develop.
On May 9, Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to a report of a burglary of an unoccupied residence in the Whitefield area. The complainant said someone entered the residence and stole the copper piping out of it. Further investigation to follow if leads develop.
May 7, Dylan M. Holbrook, 23, of Wiscasset, was issued a summons for failing to give notice of an accident, on Cedar Grove Road, Dresden, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
May 8, Robert E. Moore, 65, of Boothbay, was issued a summons for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, on Shore Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Chubbuck.
May 3, Matthew J. Burnham, 25, of Bristol, was arrested for domestic violence aggravated assault, domestic violence assault – priors, and domestic violence criminal threatening – priors, on Route 32, Waldoboro, by Deputy Drake, who was assisted by Waldoboro Officer John Lash and Deputy Chubbuck.
May 6, William E. Bourget, 52, of Edgecomb, was arrested for possessing sexually explicit material and sexual exploitation of minor, on Englebrekt Road, Edgecomb, by Detective Jared Mitkus, who was assisted by Waldoboro Officer Christopher Spear.
May 7, Trevor L. Warren, 28, of Dresden, was arrested for domestic violence assault, obstructing report of crime, criminal mischief, and cultivating marijuana, on Blinn Hill Road, Dresden, by Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore.
May 9, Jeffrey A. Peaslee, 28, of Dresden, was arrested for domestic violence aggravated assault and criminal mischief, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Detective Mitkus, who was assisted by Deputy Chubbuck.
On May 3, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving James B. Holladay Jr., 33, of Bristol, and Kevin J. Scully, 28, of Brunswick. Holladay was operating his 2000 Volkswagen GTI northbound and Scully was operating his 2009 Honda CRV southbound on Bristol Road, when Scully failed to maintain the proper lane on a bend in the road. Holladay attempted to avoid a collision but was unable to, and as a result, Scully struck Holladay’s vehicle in the northbound travel lane. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On May 3, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Denise L. Carver, 42, of Westport Island. Carver was operating her 2006 Subaru Legacy southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the west side and was struck. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On May 5, an accident occurred on Duck Puddle Road in Nobleboro involving Seth G. Hewson, 17, of Waldoboro. Hewson was operating his 1997 Ford Ranger northbound when he lost control of his vehicle, drove off the roadway, and struck a tree. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On May 5, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Lynda M. Pierce, 49, of Rockport. Pierce was operating her 2013 Dodge Journey northbound when a deer crossed the road and was struck. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
On May 6, an accident occurred on River Road in Edgecomb involving Martin J. Koughan, 26, of Northwood, N.H. Koughan was operating his 1997 GMC 1500 eastbound and due to driver inattention/distraction, his vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and damaged a stone wall. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On May 7, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Dylan M. Holbrook, 23, of Wiscasset. Holbrook was operating his 2008 Subaru Impreza southbound when he stated he fell asleep, lost control of his vehicle, and ran off the road. His vehicle then turned over and was found at rest on its driver’s side. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
