Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Nov. 14, Kenneth D. Chasse, 57, of South Bristol, was issued a summons for operating under the influence, on State Route 129, South Bristol, by Deputy Aaron Beck.
Nov. 8, Brian J. Bennett, 36, of Waldoboro, was arrested for violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Terry Michaud.
Nov. 10, Caitlin Carpenter, 29, of Lincolnville, was arrested on a warrant for violation of bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy William Owen.
Nov. 10, Nikolas A. Poland, 25, of Bremen, was arrested on a warrant for violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy Owen.
Nov. 13, Kelsey Prior, 30, of Bristol, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Poor Farm Road, Bristol, by Deputy Beck.
On Nov. 9, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Ellen G. Rhinebolt, 57, of Wiscasset. Rhinebolt was operating her 2013 Subaru Outback southbound when, she said, she fell asleep, causing her vehicle to cross the centerline, leave the roadway, and go into a ditch, where it struck some small trees. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 9, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Jefferson involving Briar L. Lyons, 35, of Lincolnville, and Morgan S. Hisler, 20, of Jefferson. Lyons was operating her 2014 Mercedes-Benz eastbound and Hisler was operating his 2000 Jeep westbound. Hisler was making a left turn from Rockland Road onto Augusta Road when, he said, he thought Lyons was going to continue onto Augusta Road, so he initiated a turn and struck Lyons’ vehicle. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 10, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Christopher P. Minor, 25, of West Gardiner, and William L. Hall, 61, of East Boothbay. Minor had stopped his 2004 Chevrolet 1500 in traffic waiting for a vehicle turning off of Route 27. Hall failed to see Minor stopping and, as a result, he struck the rear of Minor’s vehicle with his 2004 Subaru Legacy. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 11, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson involving Judith McDonald, 54, of Waldoboro. McDonald was operating her 2015 Jeep Cherokee northbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 11, an accident occurred on Eddy Road in Edgecomb involving Harry W. Read, 63, of Camden. Read was operating his 2007 Honda Element southbound when a large tree on a property along the side of the road fell on the hood of his vehicle. The tree struck the hood and did significant damage to the windshield. Deputy 1st Class Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 11, an accident occurred on Patterson Road in Dresden involving Christopher S. Wescott, 49, of Pittsfield. Wescott was operating his 2009 Toyota Tacoma northbound when a deer entered the roadway. Wescott was unable to avoid striking the deer, causing front-end damage to his vehicle. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 11, an accident occurred on Grand Army Road in Whitefield involving Dale R. Tobey, 54, of Lewiston. Tobey was operating his 2013 Nissan Frontier northbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Deputy Drake was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 14, an accident occurred on State Route 129 in South Bristol involving Kenneth D. Chasse, 57, of South Bristol. Chasse was operating his 2004 Ford Ranger southbound when he entered a corner at a high rate of speed. As a result, his vehicle entered the dirt shoulder on the right side of the road. Chasse then overcorrected and his vehicle started to skid and leave the roadway on the left side. The vehicle struck a rock and overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side facing northbound. Deputy Beck was the investigating officer.
