Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On May 25, Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to a report of criminal mischief to a cement statue at the Boothbay Railway Museum. The complainant said that sometime between May 23 at approximately 7 p.m. and May 24 at around 8 a.m., about $100 worth of damage was done to the statue. Further investigation will follow if leads develop.
May 24, Eva M. Todd, 48, of Boothbay, was arrested for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and burglary, on Cape Newagen Road, Southport, by Deputy Gilbert, who was assisted by Detective Scott Hayden.
May 25, Sophia M. Swain-Stark, 23, of Boothbay Harbor, was arrested for violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
May 25, Peter E. Townsend, 32, of Nobleboro, was arrested for violating condition of release and violation of a protection order, on Teal Lane, Nobleboro, by Deputy Chubbuck.
May 26, Gregory M. Doray, 26, of Wiscasset, was arrested on a Kennebec County warrant for failure to appear and violating condition of release, on Gardiner Road, Wiscasset, by Detective Mitkus.
On May 24, an accident occurred on Sheepscot Road in Newcastle involving Helen M. Sleeper, 56, of Alna. Sleeper was operating her 2014 GMC eastbound when a deer ran into the roadway and was struck. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
May 24, Cody Gallant, 21, of Waldoboro, operator failing to use a seat belt, Genthner Road, Waldoboro, Deputy 1st Class Collamore.
Kyle Pratt, 22, of Warren, operator failing to use a seat belt, Route 1, Newcastle, Deputy 1st Class Collamore.
May 25, Eleanor Rich, 18, of Yarmouth, speeding 65 mph in a posted 40 mph speed zone, Route 27, Edgecomb, Sgt. Nein.
Tyler White, 21, of Lee, speeding 75 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone, Route 27, Dresden, Sgt. Nein.
May 27, Nicole Moreau, 33, of Boothbay, operating after suspension, operator failing to use a seat belt, Back River Road, Boothbay, Sgt. Nein.
Corey Wells, 53, of Boothbay, operator failing to use a seat belt, Route 27, Boothbay, Sgt. Nein.
Jeremiah Lucas, 19, of Edgecomb, failure to show proof of insurance, Route 27, Edgecomb, Sgt. Nein.
