Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On April 19, Deputy Kevin Dennison was dispatched to a complaint of criminal mischief to a business in the Newcastle area. This incident is under investigation.
On April 22, Sgt. Matthew Day took a report of a theft of an iPhone 5C and cellphone charger from a residence in the Newcastle area. The complainant said it appears someone entered her residence and took her cellphone. Further investigation pending any new information.
On April 23, Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was dispatched to a reported vehicle off the roadway, in the woods, in Boothbay. Prior to Deputy 1st Class Collamore’s arrival, the vehicle’s owner called to report the vehicle had been stolen from his driveway. Further investigation to follow as any new leads or information come forth.
April 25, Sarah C. Pike, 27, of Cushing, was arrested on a Knox County warrant for failure to pay fine, on Atlantic Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, by Sgt. Jason Nein.
June Coffin, 83, of Boothbay, failure to stop at a stop sign, Route 1, Edgecomb, Deputy Dennison.
April 8, Calvin Munson, 65, of Fairfield, Conn., failure to show proof of insurance, Deputy Hatch.
Gabriel Hunt, 17, of Newcastle, speeding 73 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone, Route 1, Nobleboro, Sgt. Day.
April 13, Breanna Blanchard, 17, of South Bristol, speeding 54 mph in a posted 45 mph speed zone, Route 129, South Bristol, Deputy 1st Class Bridgham.
April 14, Yeshi Khendrup, 42, of El Cerrito, Calif., failure to yield right of way, Route 1, Wiscasset, Deputy Hatch.
April 19, Dakota Willhoite, 22, of Wiscasset, imprudent speed, Gardiner Road, Dresden, Deputy Dennison.
April 20, Kaleb Howard, 17, of Whitefield, inadequate tire, Townhouse Road, Whitefield, Deputy Dennison.
April 21, Rebecca Banks, 51, of Jefferson, failure to show proof of insurance, Mills Road, Newcastle, Deputy Hatch.
April 22, Avery Hodous, 18, of Bristol, speeding 68 mph in a posted 50 mph speed zone, Route 130, Bristol, Deputy 1st Class Bridgham.
On April 23, an accident occurred on State Route 129 in South Bristol involving Ashley M. Ward, 31, of Wiscasset. Ward was operating her 2006 Pontiac G6 southbound when she failed to negotiate a sharp right-hand turn. As a result, her vehicle left the roadway and struck a stone wall and a tree, causing front-end damage. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
