Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
April 30, Benjamin M. Sutter, 22, of Wiscasset, was issued a summons for operating under the influence – one prior, on Alna Road, Alna, by Deputy Poirier.
April 28, Robert W. Harvey, 22, of Waldoboro, was arrested for violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Mitkus.
April 29, Gary L. Collamore, 69, of Newcastle, was arrested on a probation violation, on Hall Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
April 30, Deborah C. Barnes, 55, of Newcastle, was arrested for aggravated criminal mischief, on Ridge Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Poirier.
On April 26, an accident occurred on Westport Bridge Road in Wiscasset involving Caroline K. Weaver, 26, of Wiscasset. Weaver was operating her 2003 Toyota Avalon eastbound and was driving too fast for the road conditions. As a result, she lost control of her vehicle and went off the roadway to the left, hitting a rock ledge, causing her vehicle to roll over onto its roof. Maj. Ken Mason was the investigating officer.
On April 26, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Bremen involving Colleen A. Redline, 54, of Bremen. Redline was operating her 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound when she hit a patch of slush/snow and entered the southbound ditch. Her vehicle then struck an embankment and culvert in the southbound ditch. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On April 26, an accident occurred on Back Narrows Road in Boothbay involving Robert M. Younger, 68, of Boothbay. Younger was operating his 2011 Subaru Outback southbound when he lost control of his vehicle around a corner, slid off the roadway, and struck a rock. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On April 30, an accident occurred on Alna Road in Alna involving Benjamin M. Sutter, 22, of Wiscasset. Sutter was operating his 2005 Chevrolet Impala northbound when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the road to the right, entered the ditch, and rolled over. His vehicle sustained significant damage. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
On April 30, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Paul S. Bryant, 72, of Newcastle, and Mollie L. Baldwin, 71, of Nobleboro. Bryant was stopped on Main Street in his 2006 Ford Escape to allow pedestrians to cross in the crosswalk. Baldwin was traveling behind Bryant’s vehicle in her 2010 Toyota Rav4, was distracted, failed to see Bryant’s vehicle stopped, and struck the rear of his vehicle. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
