Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On June 22, Sgt. Jason Nein received a report of criminal mischief to a rock ledge at the Farnham Point Resident’s Association Park in Boothbay. It was discovered that someone had spray-painted graffiti on the ledge. Further investigation will follow if any new information comes forth.
On June 24, Detective Scott Hayden was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief to the Whitefield Elementary School ball fields. This case is currently under investigation.
June 22, Jean Reed, 36, of Jefferson, was arrested for operating under the influence, on Back Meadow Road, Damariscotta, by Deputy Beck.
June 23, Nancy L. Moody, 58, of Waldoboro, was arrested for harassment, on Sunset Ridge, Waldoboro, by Detective Hayden.
June 23, Felichia C. Glidden, 22, of Waldoboro, was arrested on a Lincoln County District Court warrant, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Beck.
June 24, Herman N. Wright IV, 31, of Edgecomb, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Englebrekt Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Beck.
On June 21, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Linwood M. Libby, 63, of West Gardiner. Libby was operating his 2015 Hyundai southbound when a deer entered the roadway and struck his vehicle. Maj. Ken Mason was the investigating officer.
On June 22, an accident occurred on Back Meadow Road in Damariscotta involving Jean Reed, 36, of Jefferson. Reed was attempting to make a left turn into a driveway, however, she missed the driveway and struck a few mailboxes and support pole with her 2011 Hyundai Elantra. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On June 22, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Joshua L. Bechard, 27, of Jefferson. Bechard was operating his 2000 Chevrolet 1500 northbound when he stated that he swerved to avoid a deer and his vehicle left the roadway on the right side. His vehicle then entered the ditch and struck a culvert, causing damage to the undercarriage. Deputy Beck was the investigating officer.
On June 24, an accident occurred on Indian Trail in Bristol involving Karen R. Bruso, 62, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Tanner B. Geyer, 16, of Bristol. Bruso was operating her 2006 Jeep Liberty eastbound and Geyer was operating his 2007 Kawasaki ATV westbound. As both vehicles came upon a curve in the dirt road, Bruso was able to stop and pull slightly to the right, however, Geyer was unable to slow down or avoid Bruso’s vehicle and, as a result, he struck it. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On June 25, an accident occurred on Patterson Road in Dresden involving Maria C. Ramsay, 20, of Portland. Ramsay was operating her 2010 Nissan Altima westbound when she struck a deer crossing the road. Her vehicle sustained damage to the front passenger corner, as well as minor damage to the front passenger door. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On June 26, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Robert N. Benner, 32, of Bristol, and Kenneth R. Hilsman, 26, of Spartanburg, S.C. Benner was operating his 1991 Chevrolet 2500 northbound behind Hilsman’s 2010 Ford Fusion, which was also traveling northbound. Hilsman slowed for turning traffic and Mr. Benner failed to see Hilsman slowing down and struck his vehicle in the rear. Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell was the investigating officer.
On June 26, an accident occurred on Harrington Road in South Bristol involving Beth D. Polhemus, 54, of New Harbor, and Seth B. Koen, 44, of East Hampton, Mass. Polhemus was making a left-hand turn from Route 129 onto Harrington Road in her 2010 Toyota Tacoma. Koen was stopped at the stop sign at the Harrington Road-Route 129 intersection in his 2003 Mazda Protege when Polhemus crossed over into Koen’s lane and struck his vehicle. Reserve Deputy Elwell was the investigating officer.
On June 27, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Albert B. Bailey, 76, of Wiscasset, and Mark W. Bennett, 47, of Rochester, N.Y. Bailey was operating his 1996 Dodge 2500 southbound, carrying a load of square hay bales. Bennett was operating his 2010 Toyota Prius northbound when a hay bale fell off Bailey’s truck and struck his vehicle. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
