Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On July 4, Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to a complaint of misuse of identification on River Road in Edgecomb. The complainant said he received a call from Chase Bank notifying him that someone had used his credit card on one occasion for a large purchase and attempted to use it on two other occasions. The victim has no idea how his identity was taken. Further investigation will follow if leads develop.
On July 4, Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore responded to an aggravated criminal mischief call on Middle Road in South Bristol. The complainant said his boat, which had been attached to a dock, was sunk. Deputy Collamore was advised that the gas line had been cut. Once the boat was hauled from the water, it appeared that the center console had been detached from the floor, but the battery and motor were still attached to the stern. Further investigation will follow if leads develop.
On June 28, Deputy Ryan Chubbuck issued a summons for operating under the influence to Paul Glidden, 27, of Whitefield.
On June 28, an accident occurred on the North Clary Road in Jefferson involving Paul Glidden, 27, of Whitefield. Glidden was operating his 2000 Subaru Forester south on North Clary Road when he overcorrected and traveled into the northbound shoulder, causing the car to roll over. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On July 3, an accident occurred on Bunker Hill Road in Jefferson involving Olive Hart, 90, of Nobleboro. Hart was operating a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox and traveling south on Augusta Road, approaching the intersection with Bunker Hill Road. Hart was distracted and failed to stop at the stop sign located at this intersection. The vehicle crossed the Bunker Hill Road and struck the ditch, causing front-end damage. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
