Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle blocking Sproul Hill Road at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office interim Chief Deputy Rand Maker.
Deputies found Mullin, 53, of Bristol, at the wheel of a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country minivan blocking the road, according to Maker.
Deputies were attempting to communicate with Mullin when he placed the vehicle in reverse and struck a vehicle behind it at low speed, according to Maker.
Kim E. Guptill, 55, of Jefferson, was driving the other vehicle, a 2016 Hyundai Accent. Guptill complained of neck pain and was taken by private vehicle to LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta, according to Maker. A 49-year-old female passenger in the Guptill vehicle was not hurt.
Mullin was not hurt and any damage to either vehicle was minor, according to Maker. No one else was in Mullin’s vehicle.
Deputies arrested Mullin and took him to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, according to Maker.
Mullin was booked Sunday, March 26 and released the same day on $500 cash bail, according to jail personnel.
Mullin took a breath test, but Maker declined to reveal the results.
