Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Sept. 7, Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was dispatched to a report of theft/criminal mischief to an honor box at the boat landing in Round Pond. It is unknown how much cash may have been in the box. Further investigation will follow as any new leads come forth.
Sept. 8, Julie King, 31, of Whitefield, was issued a summons for criminal mischief, on Mills Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
Sept. 9, Alan R. Morton, 45, of Dresden, was issued a summons for cultivating marijuana, on Day Lane, Dresden, by Detective Scott Hayden.
Sept. 6, Curtis H. Moody, 47, of Whitefield, was arrested for violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Sept. 10, Daniel Zehm, 50, of Edgecomb, was arrested for operating under the influence – no test, one prior, on Cross Point Road, Edgecomb, by Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles, who was assisted by Deputy Aaron Beck.
Sept. 11, Alexandre A. Gorey, 24, of Edgecomb, was arrested for domestic violence assault and aggravated criminal trespass, on Dover Road, Boothbay, by Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell.
Sept. 11, James K. Blake, 23, of Dresden, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Orchard Hill Road, Dresden, by Deputy Beck.
On Sept. 9, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Paul C. Stilphen, 38, of Pittston. Stilphen was operating his 2014 Volkswagen Passat westbound when a deer crossed the road in front of his vehicle and was struck. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 9, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Elsie V. Cowing, 25, of Alna. Cowing was operating her 2010 Toyota Corolla northbound when, she said, a black truck was heading southbound and was partially in the northbound lane. As a result, Cowing’s vehicle went off the roadway to avoid a collision with the unknown vehicle and went down into a ditch. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 9, an accident occurred on Patricktown Road in Somerville involving Kevin Walthall, 62, of South China. Walthall was operating his 2010 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Route 105 when he drifted off the road, onto the shoulder, on a curve in the road. As a result, he lost control of his motorcycle in the dirt, causing it to crash. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 11, an accident occurred on Townhouse Road in Whitefield involving Maddy J. Lee, 19, of Augusta. Lee was operating her 2009 Ford Escape northbound when, she said, she looked down as she was changing radio stations. As she looked down, her vehicle went off the road on the right side, traveled through a small evergreen tree, and ended up in a field. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 11, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Noah R. Rosen, 25, of Warren, and Gordon M. Tibbetts, 66, of Alna. Both vehicles were operating southbound and both approached a line of stopped traffic. Rosen continued traveling southbound in a left-hand turn lane in his 2015 Subaru Legacy. Tibbetts attempted to perform a U-turn in his 1994 Ford Mustang, in the roadway, to travel south. As Tibbetts began his turn, he struck Rosen’s vehicle as it traveled past. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
