Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Sept. 27, Deputy Aaron Beck received a report of a burglary to a residence in the Nobleboro area, where some paintings were discovered stolen. The case is under investigation.
On Sept. 30, Sgt. Matthew Day was dispatched to a report of a burglary and theft at a cottage in the Jefferson area. Upon investigation, it was discovered that several cottages had been broken into. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division and is under investigation.
On Oct. 1, Sgt. Jason Nein received a report of criminal mischief to a political sign on a property in Boothbay. The complainant said that on either Sept. 21 or 22, someone damaged a sign on his front lawn. There are no suspects at this time.
On Oct. 2, Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle and well pump at a residence in the Jefferson area. The complainant said that the previous evening, someone had vandalized their vehicle, and after reporting this incident, they discovered their well had also been tampered with. The case is under investigation.
Summonses
Sept. 29, Scott P. Spaulding, 53, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons for cultivating marijuana, on Simon Road, Waldoboro, by Detective Scott Hayden, who was assisted by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Oct. 1, Aric A. Pickens, 39, of Southport, was issued a summons for attaching false plates, on Dogfish Head Road, Southport, by Sgt. Nein.
Arrests
Sept. 27, Casey P. Palmer, 24, of Bristol, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Carl Bailey Road, Bristol, by Deputy Beck, who was assisted by Sgt. Day.

Sept. 29, Michael A. Stover, 58, of Waldoboro, was arrested for violating conditions of release, on Goshen Road, Waldoboro, by Detective Hayden.
Sept. 30, Trisha L. Fontaine, 38, of Wiscasset, was arrested for a probation violation, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Detective Mitkus, who was assisted by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
Sept. 30, Gary W. Joslyn, 41, of Wiscasset, was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fines and unlawful possession of scheduled drug, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Detective Mitkus, who was assisted by Damariscotta Police Sgt. Jason Warlick.
Oct. 1, Corey Main, 41, of Waldoboro, was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fines, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Justin Drake.
Oct. 2, Nikolas A. Poland, 25, of Bremen, was arrested for criminal mischief and a probation violation, on Ledge Drive, Bremen, by Deputy 1st Class Mark Bridgham.
Oct. 3, D.L. Allen III, 54, of Alna, was arrested on a warrant for trafficking and importing drugs, on Cross Road, Alna, by Detective Hayden, who was assisted by Detective Sgt. Jason Pease.
Accidents
On Sept. 27, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Stephen F. Gaudette, 65, of West Southport. Gaudette was operating his 2007 GMC southbound when he fell asleep at the wheel, causing his vehicle to travel into the northbound lane and crash into the ditch. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 29, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Rochelle Wolf, 45, of Damariscotta. Wolf was operating her 2013 Toyota Corolla southbound when a deer crossed the road in front of her, causing a collision. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 30, an accident occurred on Route 129 in South Bristol involving James V. McKenna, 47, of Jefferson. McKenna was operating his 2000 Buick Century southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and was struck. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 1, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Susan M. Anneley, 61, of Newcastle. Anneley was operating her 2014 Kia Soul southbound when a deer came out of the woods from the left side of the road and struck her vehicle. Reserve Deputy Genthner was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 3, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Judy B. Sipple, 58, of Bristol, and James P. Lawlor, 53, of Charlestown, Mass. Sipple was operating her 2012 Dodge southbound, approaching the intersection with Corey Lane. Lawlor had stopped his 2008 Jeep at the intersection and began to take a left-hand turn onto Route 27 southbound. An emergency vehicle with its lights activated approached the intersection and Lawlor stopped and let the emergency vehicle pass. Lawlor continued onto Route 27 and struck Sipple’s vehicle. Deputy Drake was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 3, an accident occurred on River Road in Edgecomb involving Daniel B. Lawrence, 26, of Nobleboro. Lawrence was operating his 2006 Chevrolet 1500 southbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Deputy Beck was the investigating officer.
