Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Nov. 18, Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was dispatched to a reported theft of a white, L.L. Bean kids bicycle (value: $200), a vehicle battery (value: $50), and an unknown amount of cash from a residence in the Jefferson area. The complainant said that sometime between Nov. 15 and Nov. 18, someone stole these items. Further investigation will follow as any new leads come forth.
Nov. 19, Phillip R. Owen Jr., 56, of Boothbay, was issued a summons for operating after suspension/revoked – OUI (prior), on Ocean Point Road, East Boothbay, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Nov. 19, James R. Riggs, 50, of Portland, was arrested on a Cumberland County warrant for violation of bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Poirier.
Nov. 20, James W. Murphy, 37, of Woolwich, was arrested for refusing to submit to arrest or detention and a probation violation, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
On Nov. 16, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Amanda E. Pendleton, 25, of Walpole, and Donald B. Collamore, 76, of Bristol. Pendleton attempted to enter the roadway from Hanley’s parking lot in her 2005 Subaru Forester, in order to travel southbound on Route 129. Collamore was operating his 2012 Chevrolet Impala northbound and Pendleton struck the passenger side of his vehicle. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Nov.19, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Alison M. Cook, 21, of East Boothbay, and Randy L. Lester, 61, of Boothbay. Cook was making a left turn from Eddy Road onto Route 1 in Edgecomb, when she failed to yield the right-of-way. Cook pulled her 2011 Toyota Camry into the path of Lester, who was operating his 2009 Hyundai Sonata northbound on Route 1. Lester said he swerved to miss Cook’s vehicle, but was unable to do so, and both vehicles collided. Deputy Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.
