Jan. 8, Christopher McFarland, 26, of Nobleboro, was issued a summons for operating under the influence, one prior, on East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
Jan. 10, Brian S. Merryman, 39, of Bristol, was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Aaron Beck.
Jan. 16, Dylan P. Heroux, 19, of Albion, was issued a summons for possession of a useable amount of marijuana, on Route 1, Edgecomb, by Deputy Chubbuck.
Dec. 27, Gary Balducci, 38, of Edgecomb, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear and summonsed for negotiating a worthless instrument and theft, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Detective Scott Hayden.
Jan. 5, Dee M. McInnis, 32, of Somerville, was arrested on an Augusta District Court warrant for unpaid fines, on Hewett Road, Somerville, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
Jan. 5, Peter E. Townsend, 33, of Boothbay Harbor, was arrested on a probation violation, on Two Sister Lane, Boothbay, by Lt. Rand Maker.
Jan. 6, April Smeal, 41, of Southport, was arrested on a probation violation, on Nickerson Road, Southport, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Jan. 11, Jeffrey H. Lucas, 41, of Augusta, was arrested on an outstanding Augusta District Court warrant for unpaid fines, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Jan. 11, Patrick F. Wermuth Jr., 28, of Dresden, was arrested for domestic violence assault and operating under the influence – one prior, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Deputy Chubbuck, who was assisted by Deputy Poirier.
Jan. 12, Peter M. Johnson, 46, of Boothbay, was arrested for violating protection from abuse order and unlawful possession of schedule Y drug, on Gray Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Beck.
Jan. 13, Patrick A. Thayer, 27, of Whitefield, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Hewett Road, Somerville, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
Jan. 15, Leah M. St. Hilaire, 23, of Sabattus, was arrested for operating under the influence – one prior and violating condition of release, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles, who was assisted by Deputy Justin Drake.
Jan. 15, Joseph L. Gifford, 54, of Newcastle, was arrested on a warrant for an indictment charging unlawful sexual contact, on Ridge Road, Newcastle, by Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell.
On Jan. 4, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Somerville involving John M. Rich, 28, of Union. Rich was operating his 2016 Kia Soul southbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to the icy road conditions. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway on the right side and rolled over twice before coming to rest on its wheels. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 4, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson involving Elizabeth Forgit, 22, of Warren. Forgit was operating her 2007 Ford F-150 northbound when her vehicle slid on the icy roadway. Forgit attempted to steer back from the slide and overcorrected, causing her vehicle to rotate across the southbound lane and into a Central Maine Power Co. pole on the passenger side of the vehicle. Deputy 1st Class Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 4, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Cody J. Drever, 35, of New Harbor. Drever was operating his 2005 Chrysler Town and Country southbound when a deer ran out and caused him to swerve and lose control. As a result, his vehicle went into the opposite lane, spinning out into the northbound ditch. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 5, an accident occurred on Route 27 in Edgecomb involving Angela E. Dunning, 42, of Boothbay, and Travis M. Chapman, 43, of Edgecomb. Dunning was operating her 2006 Toyota Rav4 westbound and was attempting to turn left into the entrance to the Edgecomb Eddy School. Chapman was attempting to turn left onto Route 27 from the entrance of the Edgecomb Eddy School in his 2005 Toyota Tacoma. Chapman failed to yield the right-of-way to Dunning and, as a result, he struck her vehicle. Lt. Maker was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 8, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Bremen involving Richard J. Kinney-Herald, 16, of Waldoboro. Kinney-Herald was operating his 2007 Ford Focus southbound when he moved over for an oncoming plow truck. Kinney-Herald lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway, crossed the centerline, and entered the ditch on the left side. His vehicle then struck a post and came to rest in the ditch area. Reserve Deputy Elwell was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 8, an accident occurred on Ocean Point Road in Boothbay involving Natalie J. Brown, 19, of Boothbay, and Joshua B. Seiders, 35, of Wiscasset. Seiders had exited a private driveway in his 2015 Ford F-350 to head southbound and, at the same time, Brown came around a slight curve and, due to icy road conditions, lost control of her 2012 Ford Edge and struck Seiders’ vehicle head on. Both operators tried to avoid the collision. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 8, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Christopher D. McFarland, 26, of Augusta. McFarland was operating his 2008 Hyundai Tucson southbound when he lost control of his vehicle in the southbound ditch. His vehicle then struck a railroad crossing pole, breaking it, before it then hit the railroad tracks, causing his vehicle to jump and land in the ditch on the southbound lane. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 8, an accident occurred on Shore Road in Boothbay involving Matthew E. Burnham, 18, of Boothbay. Burnham was operating his 1995 GMC 1500 northbound when, he said, his vehicle had a mechanical malfunction in the steering system. This resulted in the vehicle leaving the roadway and striking a stonewall, causing front-end damage. Deputy Drake was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Julie A. Truesdell, 58, of Edgecomb, and Linda S. Robbins, 56, of Waldoboro. Truesdell was operating her 2015 Volvo S60 southbound and Robbins was following Truesdell in her 2008 Subaru Outback. Truesdell slowed for traffic and Robbins struck the rear of her vehicle. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on Eugley Hill Road in Nobleboro involving Jasmine L. McNelly, 31, of Waldoboro. McNelly was operating her 2005 GMC Envoy southbound and was attempting to go around a pedestrian walking in the southbound lane. McNelly lost control of her vehicle, entered the southbound ditch, and struck several rocks. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 11, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Leigh K. Shaw, 22, of Pittston, and Jennifer F. Hutchings, 31, of Richmond. Shaw was operating her 2004 Volkswagen Jetta southbound, making a right turn on Route 197 to travel toward Richmond. Hutchings was operating her 2016 Nissan Rogue eastbound on Route 197, making a left turn onto Route 128, when both vehicles collided. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 11, an accident occurred on Hunts Meadow Road in Whitefield involving Ryan A. Woodman, 19, of Gardiner. Woodman was operating his 2003 Hyundai Elantra westbound when he entered the westbound ditch and struck a CMP pole. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 11, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Kirsten C. Poland, 19, of China. Poland was operating her 2009 Ford Focus westbound when she hit a patch of black ice and spun out of control. As a result, her vehicle ended up in the ditch. Detective Terry Michaud was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 11, an accident occurred on Lower Round Pond Road in Bristol involving Heather J. Wilson, 43, of Healdsburg, Calif. Wilson was operating her 2004 Toyota Camry southbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to the icy road conditions. She was traveling downhill and into a curve that had a large portion of black ice on it when her vehicle spun around, left the roadway, and struck a small group of trees with the driver’s side rear. Sgt. Day was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 13, an accident occurred on Jefferson Road in Whitefield involving Andrew M. Foster, 22, of Jefferson. Foster was operating his 2000 Jeep Wrangler northbound when, due to icy, unsanded road conditions, his vehicle lost traction and crossed the centerline. He then went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 13, an accident occurred on Hunts Meadow Road in Whitefield involving Steven S. Urkowitz, 75, of Portland. Urkowitz was operating his 2004 Subaru Legacy eastbound and, as a result of operator fatigue, he lost control of his vehicle, went off the right side of the roadway, and struck a boulder on the passenger side. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 15, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Robert J. Murphy, 52, of Edgecomb, and Moira Rose Mahegan, 26, of Wiscasset. Murphy had stopped his 2016 Subaru Impreza in the southbound breakdown lane to look at a truck at the Newcastle Chrysler dealership. Mahegan was operating her 2009 Subaru Impreza southbound when Murphy started to pull into the southbound travel lane to head southbound. Mahegan was unable to avoid a collision with Murphy’s vehicle and, as a result, Murphy’s vehicle went down an embankment and Mahegan’s vehicle came to rest in the northbound breakdown lane. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 15, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Leah M. St. Hilaire, 23, of Sabattus. St. Hilaire was operating her 2001 Volkswagen Passat eastbound when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the end of Patterson Road. As a result, her vehicle went across Middle Road and struck the Eastern River Self Storage building, causing her vehicle to sustain heavy front-end damage. Reserve Deputy Fowles was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 16, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Amber C. Winchenbach, 16, of Thomaston, and Michael J. Cummons, 29, of Nobleboro. Cummons had stopped his 2016 Chevrolet Silverado on Route 1, facing southbound, and was attempting to make a left turn onto Winslow Hill Road. Winchenbach was operating her 1998 Toyota Corolla southbound on Route 1 when, she said, she was blinded by the setting sun and did not see Cummons stopped in the roadway. As a result, Winchenbach braked and swerved to the right but struck Cummons’ vehicle in the rear. Deputy Beck was the investigating officer.
