Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Feb. 2, Lindsey Razo, 30, of Winterport, was issued a summons for conspiracy to traffick in prison contraband, at her residence in Winterport, for an offense which took place in Wiscasset, by Detective Scott Hayden.
Jan. 31, John F. Dumas, 51, of Augusta, was arrested for burglary, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, criminal mischief, possession of firearm when prohibited, and violating condition of release, on Divided Lane, Augusta, by Detective Sgt. Ronald Rollins, who was assisted by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Feb. 1, Nehemias Umana, 32, of Winterport, was arrested for violating a protection from abuse order and violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Hayden.
Feb. 2, Susan Williams, 69, of Washington, was arrested for operating under the influence, on Great View Drive, Jefferson, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
Feb. 2, Shane M. Rines, 43, of Sabattus, was arrested on a probation violation, on Western Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, by Detective Mitkus, who was assisted by Boothbay Harbor Officer Thomas Chryplewicz.
Feb. 4, Andrew M. Melville, 51, of Bristol, was arrested for operating under the influence, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Sgt. Brendan Kane.
On Feb. 1, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Julian I. Richter, 35, of Arrowsic. Richter was operating his 2005 Toyota Prius northbound when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway. As a result, his vehicle fishtailed briefly before leaving the roadway, sliding sideways, and striking a tree in the northbound shoulder. Just prior to impact with the tree, his vehicle went airborne due to its speed and the change in the grade of the terrain. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 1, an accident occurred on Route 32 in Jefferson involving Dimitra M. Crudell, 25, of Waldoboro. Crudell was operating her 2014 Mazda northbound when she lost control of her vehicle, slid off the roadway, and struck a rock. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 1, an accident occurred on Academy Hill in Newcastle involving Lisa A. West-Harper, 41, of Bremen. West-Harper was parked illegally, waiting to pick up a student in the parking lot of the Poe Theater at Lincoln Academy. While parked, her vehicle was struck in the rear by an unknown vehicle, which failed to stop. Lt. Maker was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 2, an accident occurred on Barters Island Road in Boothbay involving Joseph A. Jose, 59, of Boothbay, and Jasmine L. Alley, 27, of Trevett. Jose was operating his 2006 Toyota Tundra eastbound and Alley was following Jose in her 2001 Lexus RX30 when she was blinded by the sun glare and struck the rear of Jose’s vehicle. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 2, an accident occurred on Barters Island Road in Boothbay involving Dawn S. Gilbert, 74, of Boothbay, and Jordan D. Bean, 26, of Boothbay Harbor. Gilbert had stopped her 2004 Buick in traffic on Barters Island Road, near its intersection with Corey Lane, traveling eastbound. Bean was operating his 2007 Dodge Durango eastbound and observed traffic moving in front of Gilbert’s vehicle, but failed to observe Gilbert was still stopped in traffic. As a result, Bean struck Gilbert in the rear. Lt. Maker was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 4, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Dennis W. Peters, 62, of Boothbay Harbor, and Richard J. Zigari, 48, of Boothbay. Zigari was operating his 2010 Ford F-150 northbound and was slowing to make a right turn into his driveway. Peters was operating his 2000 Buick Century behind Zigari’s vehicle, also heading northbound. Peters did not see Zigari’s signal and was too close to avoid a collision with Zigari’s vehicle. Peters struck Zigari as Peters tried to go around Zigari on the right side. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 5, an accident occurred on Patterson Road in Dresden involving Thomas H. Hopf-Lovette, 31, of Suisun City, Calif. Hopf-Lovette was operating his 2008 Nissan Pathfinder westbound when, near the intersection of Oxbow Road, he struck a deer that was in the roadway. Deputy Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.
