Arrests
May 16, Corinne D. Gornto, 52, of Southport, was arrested for a probation violation, on Camerons Point Road, Southport, by Sgt. Matthew Day.
May 16, Kyle M. Gornto, 24, of Southport, was arrested for domestic violence assault and probation violation, on Camerons Point Road, Southport, by Deputy Caleb Poirier, who was assisted by Sgt. Day.
May 16, Tina G. Howard, 53, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., was arrested on an outstanding Lincoln County Superior Court warrant for unpaid fines, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
May 20, Matthew F. Webster, 34, of Providence, R.I., was arrested on a Lincoln County warrant for failure to appear, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
May 22, Ashley M. Davison, 20, of Topsham, was arrested for assault on an officer, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.
Accidents
On May 16, an accident occurred on River Road in Boothbay involving Matthew H. Moulton, 34, of Pittston, and Kara D. Stockton, 32, of Newcastle. Moulton stopped his 2014 GMC 1500 in traffic and Stockton failed to stop in time and hit the back of Moulton’s vehicle with her 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On May 16, an accident occurred on Somerville Road in Somerville involving Chandler P. Moore, 16, of Jefferson. Moore was operating his 2000 Dodge 1500 southbound when the left tire fell off, causing his vehicle to enter the northbound lane and slide into the northbound ditch. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On May 18, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Alton J. Johnson, 66, of Warren, and David J. Gallagher, 41, of Damariscotta. Gallagher was operating his 2017 Kenworth southbound and Johnson was operating his 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound when Johnson crossed the centerline and struck Gallagher’s vehicle. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On May 18, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Peter R. Conover, 47, of Camden, and Philip A. Lash, 83, of Friendship. Conover pulled his 2005 Volvo 70 from the stop sign on Center Street. Lash was operating his 2013 Ford Focus southbound on Route 1 and, due to Conover not yielding at the stop sign, he struck Lash’s vehicle on the center passenger side. Sgt. Alan Shea was the investigating officer.
On May 19, an accident occurred on Route 32 in Bristol involving Alan N. Coulter, 29, of Winterport. Coulter was operating his 2004 Volvo southbound when he entered into the soft shoulder, was not able to recover, and, as a result, struck a tree. Detective Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.
On May 21, an accident occurred on Ocean Point Road in Boothbay involving Clarence L. Campbell, 59, of Boothbay. Campbell was operating his 2013 Ford F-150 southbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to a medical issue and, as a result, his vehicle left the roadway and struck a rock ledge. Lt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
