Arrests
July 19, Vanessa M. Frisbie, 29, of Thomaston, was arrested for operating under the influence (drugs or combo), violating condition of release, and endangering the welfare of a child, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
July 20, Adam E. Oliveri, 38, of Bristol, was arrested for operating after habitual offender revocation – prior and for a probation violation, on Main Street, Nobleboro, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
July 21, Adam R. Giles, 25, of Boothbay, was arrested on a Lincoln County warrant for assault, on Matthews Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Justin Drake.
July 21, Lily L. Winchenbach, 21, of Damariscotta, was arrested on a Sagadahoc County warrant for failure to appear, on Turner Road, Bremen, by Deputy John Braley.
July 22, Sean M. Hunter, 35, of Bristol, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Route 129, South Bristol, by Deputy Braley.
July 22, Malcolm Simmons, 43, of Bristol, was arrested for operating under the influence and violating condition of release, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Sgt. Aaron Beck.
Accidents
On July 18, an accident occurred on Medomak Road in Bremen involving Brian S. Reed, 53, of Friendship. Reed was operating his 2008 GMC southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to go off the roadway and roll over. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On July 18, an accident occurred on Route 218 in Alna involving Carol A. Richards, 61, of West Gardiner. Richards was operating her 2006 Subaru Outback northbound when she saw a large truck approaching. The truck did not cross into her lane, however, she went off the roadway on the right side and struck a Central Maine Power Co. pole. Detective Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On July 19, an accident occurred on Academy Hill Road in Newcastle involving Aaron Guay, 29, of Pittston. Guay was operating his 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound. When going around a corner, his motorcycle slid on some gravel on the pavement, causing his bike to slide and strike a tree. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On July 19, an accident occurred on Cooper Road in Whitefield involving Jesse K. Morrison, 30, of Augusta. Morrison was operating her 1999 Chevrolet Blazer northbound when she went off the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On July 20, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Stephany G. Blodgett, 25, of Nobleboro, and Rosemary E. Kelsey, 70, of Walpole. Kelsey was attempting to merge southbound on Route 1 in her 2011 Chevrolet Impala and was yielding to traffic. Blodgett was operating her 2009 Toyota Corolla behind Kelsey’s vehicle when Blodgett struck the rear of Kelsey’s vehicle. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On July 21, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Ronald J. Spofford, 21, of Boothbay. Spofford was operating his 2003 Chevrolet 2500 southbound when an electrical fire occurred in the engine compartment of his vehicle. The fire was extinguished and the vehicle towed due to disabling damage. Deputy Drake was the investigating officer.
On July 22, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Thomas D. Prescott, 56, of Yarmouth. Prescott was operating his 2009 Mazda 3 northbound when his vehicle struck a car jack that was in the middle of his lane, causing damage to the undercarriage that disabled his vehicle. Deputy Drake was the investigating officer.
On July 23, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Oliver Temple, 16, of Gardiner. Temple was operating his 2000 GMC 1500 southbound when his vehicle entered the southbound ditch, struck a telephone pole, and rolled over onto the passenger side. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On July 23, an accident occurred on Pension Ridge Road in Boothbay involving Sinead C. Miller, 19, of Bremen. Miller was operating her 2010 Toyota Prius southbound when a dog entered the road from the right-hand side and struck her vehicle. The dog ran off, however, there was reportable damage to her vehicle. The dog was taken by its owner to the veterinarian’s for emergency care. Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was the investigating officer.
On July 24, an accident occurred on Dodge Road in Edgecomb involving Jayson L. Corson, 58, of Bristol. Corson was operating his 2012 Dodge northbound when a deer ran into the roadway in front of him and was struck. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
