July 25, Brandon Markowski, 29, of Boothbay, was issued a summons for criminal mischief, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Deputy John Braley.
July 31, Virginia Green, 71, of Los Angeles, Calif., was issued a summons for operating while license suspended or revoked – prior, on Main Street, Wiscasset, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
July 26, Rita L. Blanc, 36, of Bristol, was arrested on two outstanding warrants, one out of Lincoln County for failure to appear and one out of Cumberland County for failure to appear, on Academy Hill, Newcastle, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
July 26, Denise L. Carver, 43, of Westport Island, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Main Road, Westport Island, by Detective Terry Michaud.
July 27, Patrick F. Wermuth, 29, of Dresden, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Patterson Road, Dresden, by Deputy Dennison.
July 29, Loryn L. McCollett, 27, of Augusta, was arrested on a Kennebec District Court warrant for a probation revocation, on East Pond Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Chase Bosse, who was assisted by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
July 29, Stephen M. Tibbetts, 39, of Jefferson, was arrested for violating conditions of release, on East Pond Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Colby, who was assisted by Deputy Bosse.
July 30, Charles F. Herrick, 64, of Nobleboro, was arrested for operating under the influence, on Kieve Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
On July 26, an accident occurred on Route 27 in Edgecomb involving Valerie A. Wright, 58, of Edgecomb. Wright was operating her 2015 Nissan northbound when a deer ran in front of her vehicle and was struck. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On July 26, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Jeffrey W. Gaspar, 58, of Bowdoin, and Dawna L. Bergquist, 78, of Topsham. Gaspar had stopped his 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser at the intersection of Route 27 and Route 1, preparing to enter Route 1, and Bergquist was stopped behind Gaspar in her 2016 Honda CRV. Gaspar started to go forward, but stopped for a vehicle and Bergquist struck the rear of his vehicle. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On July 26, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Blake P. Hay, 22, of Damariscotta, and Mark P. Damon, 19, of Damariscotta. Hay and Damon were both traveling southbound on Route 1 when they both braked for stopped traffic. Damon stopped his 2001 Toyota 4Runner and Hay struck the rear of Damon’s vehicle with his 1996 Buick Century. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On July 27, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Kristal M. Smith, 20, of Pittston. Smith was operating her 2016 Chrysler northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right. Smith swerved to avoid the deer and, as a result, her vehicle went off the roadway and struck the support cable of a utility pole. The utility pole broke about halfway up. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On July 28, an accident occurred on Botanical Gardens Drive in Boothbay involving Jack L. Larsen, 89, of Easthampton, N.Y., and Taylor Kittel, 23, of Berea, Ohio. Kittel was operating his 2013 Toyota southbound on Barter’s Island Road in the area of Botanical Gardens Drive and Larsen was operating his 2017 Lincoln MKZ northbound on Barter’s Island Road. Larsen attempted to take an abrupt left turn onto Botanical Gardens Drive, was distracted by the GPS inside his vehicle, and failed to see Kittel’s vehicle. As a result, the front driver’s side of Larsen’s vehicle struck the front driver’s side of Kittel’s vehicle. Deputy Braley was the investigating officer.
On July 29, an accident occurred on Patterson Road in Dresden involving Victor Edgecomb, 62, of Alna. Edgecomb was operating his 2016 Dodge Ram eastbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On July 30, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving John R. Hennessy, 36, of Cape Elizabeth. Hennessy was operating his 2017 Ford F-150 northbound when a dog entered the roadway and was hit. Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell was the investigating officer.
On July 31, an accident occurred on River Road in Newcastle involving Jill I. Linzee, 61, of New Harbor, and William N. Coyne, 73, of Newcastle. Coyne was operating his 2014 Subaru Legacy northbound and was preparing to enter Main Street. Linzee was following Coyne in her 2002 Toyota Prius. When Coyne stopped for a vehicle on Main Street, Linzee struck the rear of his vehicle. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
