Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 346 calls for the period of Sept. 20 to Oct. 3. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 14,048 calls.
Sept. 29, Eoin R. Anderson, 20, of Newcastle, was issued a summons for minor possessing liquor, on Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
Sept. 29, Liam P. Anderson, 26, of Newcastle, was issued a summons for furnishing liquor to a minor, on Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Bosse.
Oct. 1, Neil A. Reilly, 60, of Bristol, was issued a summons for criminal threatening and terrorizing, on Turner Road, Bremen, by Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles.
Oct. 3, Scott A. Danforth, 24, of Jefferson, was issued a summons for operating under the influence, on River Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
Sept. 28, Mathew C. Tedford, 26, of Edgecomb, was arrested on two Lincoln County Superior Court warrants for failure to appear – fine hearing, on East Side Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
Sept. 29, Eric J. Doughty, 42, of Boothbay Harbor, was arrested for violating condition of release; failure to register vehicle; operating while license is suspended or revoked, prior; and permitting attachment of false plate, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy John Braley.
On Sept. 27, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson involving Katelyn Staples, 18, of Waldoboro. Staples was operating her 2012 Toyota Camry westbound when her vehicle left the travel lane to avoid a small animal in the roadway. As a result, her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Sgt. Alan Shea was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 27, an accident occurred on Barters Island Road in Boothbay involving Daniel J. Hassan, 41, of Boothbay. Hassan was operating his 1999 Ford F-150 southbound when his vehicle entered the southbound ditch and rolled over. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 28, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Ryan J. Saul, 22, of Portland, and Lilia P. Hudson, 59, of Wiscasset. Hudson was operating her 2008 Ford Escape on the on-ramp southbound and yielding to southbound traffic on Route 1 when Saul struck the rear of her vehicle with his 2005 Honda. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 30, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Tyler R. Tripp, 31, of Farmingdale. Tripp was operating his 1996 Geo Prizm westbound when he struck a deer running northbound across the road. Deputy Bosse was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 1, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Craig H. Dickie, 24, of Bristol, and Donald D. Cameron, 76, of Newcastle. Cameron was attempting to leave the state park exit in his 2010 Honda Pilot when Dickie started backing his 2010 Toyota Camry and failed to see Cameron’s vehicle moving. As a result, Dickie backed into the passenger side of Cameron’s vehicle. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 1, an accident occurred on Hilton Road in Whitefield involving Brian P. Sutherland, 34, of Newcastle. Sutherland was operating his 2009 Jeep Liberty westbound. He stated he was unfamiliar with the road and was driving too fast. As a result, when he reached a sharp curve, he lost control of his vehicle and slid into a tree. His vehicle sustained significant damage to the entire passenger side and also damage to the rear driver’s side tire. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 2, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Justin A. Berube, 24, of Saco. Berube was operating his 2003 Nissan Maxima northbound. He stated he was driving from Saco to his job in Warren when he fell asleep and went off the road. His vehicle went off the road on the right side and entered a ditch. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
