The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 468 calls from Nov. 20-28. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 18,919 calls.
Nov. 22, a 14-year-old male juvenile from Westport Island was issued a summons for unlawful possession of scheduled drug, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
Nov. 21, Aaron W. Ashton, 36, of Wiscasset, was arrested on a Wiscasset District Court warrant for failure to appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Matthew Day.
Nov. 22, Michael Thompson, 39, of Belfast, was arrested on an outstanding Kentucky warrant for theft by unauthorized taking, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Dennison.
Nov. 24, Wyatt Wilson, 40, of Augusta, was arrested on a Wiscasset District Court warrant for failure to appear, on Hilton Road, Whitefield, by Deputy John Braley.
Nov. 25, Daniel Rines, 24, of Pittston, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Bailey Road, Alna, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
On Nov. 21, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Somerville involving Christine L. Elliot, 52, of Washington. Elliot was operating her 2007 Nissan Murano westbound when an animal entered the roadway. Elliot swerved to avoid the animal and, as a result, her vehicle crossed the centerline, left the roadway, and struck a tree. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 21, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Robert Emmons, 72, of South Bristol. Emmons was operating his 2015 Toyota Rav4 southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the east side and was struck. Sgt. Day was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 22, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Alan B. Cheney, 76, of Bristol. Cheney was operating his 2014 Ford F-150 northbound, in the area of Split Rock Road, when a deer crossed the road and was struck. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 22, an accident occurred on Jefferson Road in Whitefield involving Chantal P. Worthing, 25, of Jefferson. Worthing was operating her 2005 Jeep Liberty eastbound when she crossed the centerline and lost control of her vehicle. As a result, she hit a road sign and ended up in a ditch on the left side of the roadway. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 23, an accident occurred on Route 32 in Bristol involving Meghan E. Kennedy, 34, of Waldoboro. Kennedy was operating her 2005 Honda Element northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the left side and was struck. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 24, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Whitefield involving Christopher P. Holmes, 28, of Bath. Holmes was operating his 2011 Ford Focus southbound when a deer ran out from the right side of the roadway and the front driver’s side of his vehicle struck the deer. Deputy Braley was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 25, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Kelsey Walker, 22, of Bristol. Walker was operating her 2001 Subaru Legacy southbound when her vehicle struck black ice. As a result, her vehicle continued into the northbound lane and entered a ditch, striking a large portion of ledge head-on. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 25, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Russell J. Lailer, 48, of Bristol, and Caitlyn M. Butler, 28, of Bristol. Butler was operating her 2004 GMC 1500 on the on-ramp, following traffic, when she slowed while preparing to merge onto Route 1 southbound. Lailer was behind Butler’s vehicle in his 2016 Scout motorcycle and could not stop in time, resulting in a rear-end collision. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 26, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Crystal Trates, 57, of Bristol, and Robert W. Hoffman, 35, of Alna. Trates was operating her 2011 Toyota Corolla northbound when a tote from Mr. Hoffman’s 2006 Toyota Tacoma, which was traveling southbound, fell out of the back of his vehicle and struck Trates’ vehicle. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
