Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 221 calls for the period of Sept. 25 to Oct. 1. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 13,107 calls for service.
Sept. 25, a 15-year-old female from Newcastle was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, at Lincoln Academy, Newcastle, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
Sept. 25, William E. Hanson, 55, of Alna, was issued a summons for attaching false plates, on Federal Street, Wiscasset, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
Sept. 27, a 16-year-old male juvenile from Bristol was issued a summons for sale and use of drug paraphernalia, at Lincoln Academy, Newcastle, by Deputy Gilbert.
Oct. 1, Jesse W. Knox, 28, of Windsor, was issued summonses for illegal attachment of registration plates and operating with an expired license, on East River Road, Whitefield, by Detective Scott Hayden.
Sept. 25, David A. Oclair, 38, of Northport, was arrested on an Androscoggin County warrant for failure to appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
Sept. 26, Tonya M. Baldwin, 42, of Boothbay, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Deer Run Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
Sept. 28, Sarah Weed, 37, of Jefferson, was arrested for domestic violence criminal mischief, on North Mountain Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Bosse.
On Sept. 25, an accident occurred on Cooper Road in Whitefield involving Jackson R. Allen, 17, of Whitefield. Allen was operating his 2007 Volkswagen Jetta northbound when he encountered a beaver in the roadway. Due to heavy rain, Allen was not able to see the animal until he struck it, causing damage to the undercarriage of his vehicle. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 26, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Whitefield involving James L. Russell, 51, of Whitefield. Russell was operating his 2012 Honda Civic southbound when a horse ran into the roadway and struck his vehicle. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 26, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Whitefield involving Nicholas J. Repenning, 37, of Whitefield. Repenning was operating his 1998 Honda CRV northbound when a deer jumped out and struck the front of his vehicle. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 27, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Charles H. Colby, 19, of Wiscasset. Colby was operating his 2005 Dodge Neon eastbound when he fell asleep and crossed the centerline. As a result, his vehicle went down an embankment before striking a CMP pole. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 28, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Whitefield involving Dale Wallace, 53, of Whitefield. Wallace was operating his 2005 GMC 1500 southbound when a deer ran out into the roadway and struck his front driver’s side headlight, causing front bumper damage. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 1, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Laura C. Safford, 48, of Damariscotta. Safford was operating her 2007 Toyota Rav4 southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and was struck. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
