Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 347 calls for the period of Jan 8-15. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 934 calls for service.
On Jan. 13, Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles was dispatched to a complaint of criminal mischief to a mailbox (value: $50) in the Whitefield area. The complainant said she discovered that someone had run over her mailbox. Further investigation will follow if leads develop.
Jan. 10, Jason H. Sehl, 40, of Boothbay, was issued a summons for operating while license is suspended or revoked, on Ocean Point Road, Boothbay, by Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore.
Jan. 12, Beth M. Hancock, 31, of Boothbay, was issued a summons for operating while license is suspended or revoked, on Federal Street, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Aaron Beck.
Jan. 12, Nicole E. Brann, 25, of Waldoboro, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Waldoboro Road, Jefferson, by Reserve Deputy Fowles, who was assisted by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
Jan. 12, Felicia M. Karcher, 33, of Augusta, was arrested for domestic violence assault – priors, on Clark Lane, Whitefield, by Deputy David Bellows.
On Jan. 8, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Janet L. Pratt, 79, of Boothbay Harbor. Pratt was operating her 2018 Subaru Outback northbound when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow/ice-covered roadway. As a result, her vehicle went off the road and struck a tree. Lt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 8, an accident occurred on Butler Road in Boothbay involving David K. Brewer, 32, of Wiscasset. Brewer was operating his 2005 Int’l Harvester/Navistar dump truck westbound, plowing the Butler Road during a snowstorm. Brewer failed to adjust the distance and the snowplow wing struck a Central Maine Power Co. utility pole, causing the pole to break and the wires and pole to fall into the roadway. There was no visible damage to the truck or plow. Lt. Kane was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on Cooper Road in Whitefield involving Jeffrey L. Allen, 60, of Chelsea, and Jonathan W. Webb, 62, of Whitefield. Webb, who was operating his 2017 school bus westbound, was stopped with his red lights on when Allen ran into the back of the bus with his 1996 Dodge 1500. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on Ocean Point Road in Boothbay involving Jason H. Sehl, 40, of Lewiston, and Timothy M. Wilcox, 65, of Boothbay. Sehl was operating his 2014 GMC Sierra eastbound and Wilcox was operating his 1985 Mack truck westbound. Sehl lost control of his vehicle due to excessive speed, crossed the center yellow line, and impacted the rear left side dual wheels of Wilcox’s vehicle. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 14, an accident occurred on Gore Road in Somerville involving Linda L. Perkins, 63, of Washington. Perkins was operating her 2012 Dodge Journey southbound when, due to sun glare, she started to slow down because of visibility issues. As a result, her vehicle slid on the slick roadway, slid into the bridge guardrail, and came to rest. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
