Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 304 calls for service for the period of Feb. 11-19. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 2,522 calls for service.
Feb. 14, Joshua Colgan, 31, of Jefferson, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore.
Feb. 17, Nickolas Guptill, 23, of Bristol, was arrested for operating under the influence and failing to make oral or written accident report, on Lower Round Pond Road, Bristol, by Deputy David Bellows.
Feb. 17, Jason E. Oliver, 41, of Nobleboro, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Vannah Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
On Feb. 12, an accident occurred on Back Narrows Road in Boothbay involving Colter J. Leeman, 34, of Boothbay. Leeman was operating his 2012 Ford Focus northbound when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the roadway on the left side. His vehicle then went down an embankment and struck some trees, causing major damage to a majority of the vehicle. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 13, an accident occurred on Ridge Road in Newcastle involving Nathan M. Teele, 38, of Damariscotta. Teele was operating his 2015 Ford F-150 northbound when he left the roadway on the right side, where he struck a utility pole and came to rest in a ditch, causing damage to the center passenger side of his vehicle. Deputy Chase Bosse was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 14, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving William R. Brooks, 46, of Newcastle. Brooks was operating his 2006 Subaru Impreza northbound when he lost control due to the snow-covered road conditions and entered a fishtail. As a result, his vehicle left the left side of the roadway, where the front passenger corner of his vehicle impacted a CMP utility pole. Deputy Bellows was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 14, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Brian T. Loonie, 58, of Billerica, Mass. Loonie was operating his 2012 Toyota Tacoma northbound when his vehicle was struck by falling ice coming from an unknown vehicle traveling south. Deputy Bosse was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 14, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving Coty A. Liberty, 30, of South China. Liberty was operating his 2007 GMC Canyon southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway on the right side. He then overcorrected, crossed the centerline, and left the roadway again, this time on the left side, where he came to rest in a ditch/marsh. Deputy Bosse was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 15, an accident occurred on Pond Road in Newcastle involving Tanya M. Albert, 44, of Newcastle, and David Rosenfelt, 69, of Jefferson. Albert was operating her 2013 Honda Pilot northbound when she slowed to turn onto Lincoln Lane. Rosenfelt was operating his 2014 Audi northbound behind Albert’s vehicle. Rosenfelt was traveling too fast for the road conditions, failed to stop as Albert was turning, and struck the rear of her vehicle. Deputy Bosse was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 18, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Samuel G. Pilgrim, 19, of Dresden. Pilgrim was operating his 1998 Jeep Cherokee southbound when he attempted to turn right onto Route 128, however, his vehicle did not turn, but slid straight into a stop sign. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 18, an accident occurred on Jones Woods Road in Newcastle involving Martin L. Steucek IV, 77, of Alna. Steucek was operating his 2016 Ford E-450 southbound when he lost control on the snow/ice-covered roadway. As a result, his vehicle went off the roadway on the right-hand side, where he entered the ditch and struck a tree. Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell was the investigating officer.
