Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 274 calls for service for the period of March 19-26. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 3,867 calls for service.
On March 19, Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was dispatched to a report of a burglary/theft of tools (estimated value $385) from a residence in the Jefferson area. The complainant said the tools were taken sometime between March 4 and March 18. Further investigation will follow if leads develop.
Arrests
March 20, Teara R. Rytky, 26, of Union, was arrested on a Lincoln County warrant for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, where she turned herself in to Detective Sgt. Ronald Rollins, who transported her to Two Bridges Regional Jail.
March 20, Zachary C. Day, 25, of Greenbush, was arrested on a Franklin County warrant for unpaid fines, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy Julie Groleau.
March 22, Robert W. Harvey, 25, of Waldoboro, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Lt. Brendan Kane.
Accidents
On March 22, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Deja Andrews, 21, of Wiscasset. Andrews was operating her 2014 Toyota RAV4 southbound when her vehicle crossed over the centerline and went off the roadway on the left-hand side, where it then spun and ended up in a ditch, on a rock. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.
On March 22, an accident occurred on Lower Round Pond Road in Bristol involving Thomas P. Renzi III, 18, of Waldoboro. Renzi was operating his 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound when he encountered a dark-colored pickup in his lane of travel. Renzi turned hard right to avoid a collision, and as a result, his vehicle traveled down an embankment, striking a CMP guide wire and crashing into a large tree at the bottom of the hill. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On March 22, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving Ira R. Ruedemann, 46, of Lisbon Falls. Ruedemann was operating his 2004 Chevrolet Blazer southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, which went off the roadway on the right-hand side, where it came to rest in a ditch. Deputy Connor was the investigating officer.
On March 22, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Richard L. Shaw, 60, of Pittston. Shaw was operating his 2018 Nissan Frontier northbound when a deer entered the roadway and struck the driver’s side of his vehicle. Sgt. Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.
On March 23, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Sheridan T. Bond, 64, of Jefferson. Bond was operating his 2011 Buick Regal northbound when a deer ran out into the road and struck it, causing damage to the passenger side of his vehicle. Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles was the investigating officer.
On March 23, an accident occurred on Back River Road in Boothbay involving Kathryn Blount, 21, of Boothbay. Blount was operating her 2006 Toyota southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the westbound ditch and was struck. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On March 25, an accident occurred on Route 129 in South Bristol involving Jason S. Bray, 41, of Augusta. Bray was operating his 2018 Ford F-150 northbound when he encountered several turkeys in the roadway. One turkey tried to fly away from his vehicle, however, it was struck while airborne. Sgt. Bridgham was the investigating officer.
