Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 284 calls for service for the period of June 18-24. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 7,807 calls for service.
On June 21, Deputy David Bellows received a report of a theft of 100 feet of fiberglass fence posts and wire (value of approximately $300) in the Nobleboro area. The complainant said the fence was last seen the morning of June 19 and was noticed missing around noon June 20. Further investigation will follow if leads develop.
June 19, Elizabeth H. Cunningham, 47, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons for theft, on Medomak Terrace, Waldoboro, by Detective Scott Hayden.
June 21, Silvia M. Adames-Estrella, 20, of Providence, R.I., was issued a summons for motor vehicle speeding: 30-plus mph over speed limit, on Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
June 20, Robert J. Didonato, 20, of Portland, was arrested on a York County District Court warrant for burglary, on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Bellows.
June 20, Travis M. Chapman, 45, of Edgecomb, was arrested for domestic violence assault and obstructing report of crime, on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.
June 23, Timothy P. Simmons, 57, of Nobleboro, was arrested for operating under the influence, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
On June 20, an accident occurred on Nash Lane in Jefferson involving Jennifer L. Houghton, 44, of Windsor. Houghton had parked her 2003 Pontiac Vibe on the side of the roadway, facing westbound, at the top of a hill. She set the parking brake and left her vehicle. The parking brake did not hold the vehicle in place and, as a result, it rolled down the hill, where its driver’s side tires entered the ditch. The vehicle continued around a corner and struck a tree. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On June 23, an accident occurred on South Hunts Meadow Road in Whitefield involving Alan Gregory, 55, of Whitefield. Gregory was operating his 2009 Toyota Tacoma northbound when a deer crossed the road in front of his vehicle and was struck, causing damage to the front passenger corner and headlight. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
