The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 400 calls for service for the period of July 16-23. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 8,537 calls for service.
July 16, Erica S. Nightingale, 18, of Edgecomb, was issued a summons for motor-vehicle speeding: 30-plus mph over speed limit, on Recreation Parkway, Nobleboro, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
July 17, Damon Peacock, 20, of Woolwich, was issued summonses for minor consuming liquor, operating while license suspended or revoked, failure to register vehicle, and leaving scene of motor vehicle accident, on Hilton Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Chubbuck.
July 20, Cody J. Devenger, 32, of Boothbay, was issued a summons for violating condition of release, on Dover Road, Boothbay, by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.
July 16, Corey H. Ater, 32, of Phippsburg, was arrested for violating a protection from abuse order and two counts of violating conditions of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Scott Hayden.
July 17, Brandon S. Mitchell, 33, of Bath, was arrested for violating condition of release (accomplice) and violating a protection from abuse order (accomplice), at the Bath Police Department for an incident that took place in Wiscasset, by Detective Hayden.
July 19, Courtney N. Burns, 33, of Belfast, was arrested on a Belfast District Court warrant for failure to pay fines and was issued a summons for failure to notify owner of property damage accident, on Washington Road, Jefferson, by Detective Hayden, who was assisted by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
July 19, Joseph S. Lane, 35, of Damariscotta, was arrested for violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
July 19, Jeremy Moon, 39, of Guilford, N.H., was arrested on a Lincoln County warrant for violation of bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Gilbert.
July 19, Harley Winchenbach, 26, of Waldoboro, was arrested on a Knox County warrant for unpaid fines, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Andrew Miner.
July 21, Corey R. Swenson, 37, of Dresden, was arrested for burglary, criminal mischief, and violating condition of release, on Main Street, Whitefield, by Sgt. Mitkus, who was assisted by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.
July 21, Marci F. McCutcheon, 36, of Augusta, was arrested for burglary, criminal mischief, violating condition of release, and a probation violation, on Main Street, Whitefield, by Sgt. Mitkus, who was assisted by Sgt. Bridgham.
On July 16, an accident occurred on Pension Ridge Road in Boothbay involving Donald T. McElhinney, 69, of Boothbay. McElhinney was operating his 2004 Honda Element southbound when he fell asleep, crossed the centerline of the roadway, and traveled off the roadway on the left side. As a result, the front driver’s corner of his vehicle impacted a Central Maine Power Co. pole. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.
On July 16, an accident occurred on Huddle Road in Bristol involving Issac D. Olson, 18, of Bristol. Olson was operating his 2007 Nissan Altima southbound when he started to turn into a driveway on the left side. Olson did not slow down enough during the turn to compensate for the dirt, and as a result, his vehicle slid into the ditch on the right side. Deputy Sean Pfahler was the investigating office.
On July 16, an accident occurred on River Road in Newcastle involving Olive C. Hart, 93, of Newcastle, and Martha A. Violette, 71, of Nobleboro. Hart was backing her 2018 Chevrolet Equinox out of a parking spot and backed into Violette’s 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On July 17, an accident occurred on Hilton Road in Whitefield involving Damon Peacock, 21, of Woolwich. Peacock was operating his 2007 Chevrolet Aveo northbound when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the southbound ditch, striking a stump. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On July 17, an accident occurred on Bath Road in Wiscasset involving Laura Livingston, 71, of Boothbay Harbor, and Christopher E. Hedberg, 40, of Appleton. Livingston was stopped on Washington Street at the intersection with Bath Road. Hedberg was operating his 2005 Dodge Caravan southbound when Livingston attempted to make a left turn, to go north on Bath Road, in front of Hedberg’s vehicle. The front corner of Hedberg’s vehicle impacted the rear driver’s corner of Livingston’s vehicle. Deputy Bellows was the investigating officer.
On July 17, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Christian J. Stebner, 22, of Nobleboro. Stebner was operating his 2018 American Motors Promaster truck southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and was struck. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On July 18, an accident occurred on McKown Road in Boothbay involving Collin F. Hooley, 27, of Lancaster, Pa., and Michael E. Reed, 64, of Boothbay. Hooley was pulling his 2019 Kia Soul out of McKown Road onto Ocean Point Road and Reed was operating his 2011 Nissan Frontier eastbound on Ocean Point Road. Hooley did not see Reed’s vehicle and, as a result, the vehicles collided. Sgt. Alan Shea was the investigating officer.
On July 19, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Leslie B. Gaffin, 75, of Boston, Mass., and Leigh F. Reinecke, 68, of Boothbay Harbor. Reinecke was operating his 2014 Ford F-150 northbound behind Gaffin’s 2015 Lexus. Gaffin slowed due to a vehicle ahead of her turning left. Reinecke did not see Gaffin slowing down until he struck the rear of her vehicle. Reinecke admitted to have been looking out his driver’s side window at the time of the crash. Deputy Pfahler was the investigating officer.
On July 19, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Macy F. Dinsmore, 26, of Hope. Dinsmore was operating her 2010 Toyota Matrix northbound when a deer crossed the roadway in front of her and the front passenger corner of her vehicle struck the deer. Deputy Bellows was the investigating officer.
On July 20, an accident occurred on River Road in Edgecomb involving Chloe Ewalt, 67, of Prince Frederick, Md. Ewalt was operating her 2017 Toyota Sequoia northbound when she fell asleep. She noticed she was off the road when she awoke and overcorrected, however, her vehicle continued into the ditch. Deputy Pfahler was the investigating officer.
On July 21, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Glen T. Craig, 57, of Wiscasset, and Margaret Caplow, 68, of Earlysville, Va. Craig was operating his 2018 Ford F-150 northbound, across the Donald E. Davey Bridge. Caplow was operating her 2006 Mercedes-Benz southbound on the bridge when she fell asleep, crossed the centerline, and struck Craig’s vehicle, causing minor damage. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On July 21, an accident occurred on Center Street in Nobleboro involving Martin E. Arnold, 20, of Columbus, Ohio. Arnold was operating his 2017 Mazda westbound when he drove onto the westbound shoulder and struck a mailbox. Arnold then overcorrected, drove off the roadway, and struck some small trees. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
