Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Aug. 21, Nicholas J.H. Stoddard, 24, of Whitefield, was arrested for domestic violence assault and domestic violence terrorizing, on Clark Lane, Whitefield, by Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore.
Aug. 21, a vehicle was left unattended on Hunts Meadow Road in Whitefield facing southbound and partially blocking the northbound travel lane. After attempts to contact the registered owner to no avail, the vehicle was towed. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 21, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving David R. Webb, 46, of Rockland, and Kevin C. Meaney, 51, of Woburn, Mass. Webb was operating his 2014 Mazda 3 southbound behind Meaney’s 2005 Cadillac Escalade when Meaney slowed in traffic. As a result, the front of Webb’s vehicle impacted the rear of Meaney’s vehicle. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 21, an accident occurred on Patricktown Road in Somerville involving Christine L. Ardans, 22, of Portland. Ardans was operating her 2014 Chevrolet Captiva eastbound. As she was rounding a corner that she was not familiar with, she lost control, as the curve was sharper than she anticipated. As a result, her vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and into the dirt. She then overcorrected and caused the vehicle to roll over and come to rest on its left side in the eastbound travel lane. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 22, an accident occurred on Route 129 in South Bristol involving Brian G. Westhaver, 48, of Nobleboro. Westhaver was operating his 2006 Chevrolet 1500 northbound on Route 129 when a deer crossed in front of him and he struck the deer. Deputy Bellows was the investigating officer.
