The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 249 calls for service for the period of Oct. 15-22. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 11,844 calls for service.
Summons
Oct. 19, Daniel J. Scott, 47, of Jefferson, was issued a summons for operating while license suspended or revoked – operating under the influence, on Mills Road, Whitefield, by Deputy David Bellows.
Arrests
Oct. 13, Christopher Donahue, 33, of Damariscotta, was arrested for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal mischief, on Waldoboro Road, Jefferson, by Detective Scott Hayden, who was assisted by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.
Oct. 14, Zachary A. Kilton, 25, of Durham, was arrested for unlawful possession of scheduled drug, violating condition of release, illegal importation of scheduled drugs, and aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, on Main Street, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Mitkus.
Oct. 14, Brandon W. Campbell, 31, of Woolwich, was arrested for operating after suspension, violating condition of release, reckless conduct, and illegal importation of scheduled drugs, on Main Street, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Mitkus.
Oct. 16, Joseph F. Pinkham, 33, of Boothbay, was arrested for dissemination of sexually explicit material (under 12 years old) and possession of sexually explicit material (under 12), on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Detective Hayden.
Oct. 18, John A. Hartmann, 73, of New Hope, Pa., was arrested for possession of sexually explicit material (under 12), on Head Tide Road, Alna, by Detective Hayden.
Oct. 19, Alton E. Sutherland, 37, of Richmond, was arrested for violation of a protection order, on Perry Drive, Dresden, by Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore.
Oct. 21, Christopher L. Jones, 36, of Lewiston, was arrested on an Auburn Superior Court warrant for failure to appear in court on criminal summons, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Andrew Miner.
Accidents
On Oct. 16, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Felicia M. Peaslee, 34, of Boothbay Harbor. Peaslee was operating her 2004 Dodge Neon northbound when a deer crossed the road and was struck, causing minor damage to the front driver’s corner. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 16, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Nichole R. French, 28, of Westport Island. French was operating her 2006 Subaru Legacy southbound when she reached for an item. As a result, she lost control of her vehicle, went off the roadway, and struck a utility pole. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 16, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Bremen involving Christopher V. Davis, 63, of Waldoboro. Davis was operating his 2015 Chevrolet Volt northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right and was struck. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 17, an accident occurred on Bunker Hill Road in Newcastle involving Duane E. Pierce, 48, of Jefferson. Pierce was operating his 2018 Chevrolet Colorado southbound when he encountered a cow in the roadway, which was struck. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 18, an accident occurred on Route 129 in Bristol involving Carolyn H. McKeon, 66, of South Bristol, and Patricia M. Bell, 79, of Bristol. Bell was operating her 2014 Mercedes-Benz southbound when she stopped in traffic while waiting to make a left turn into her driveway. McKeon was operating her 2011 Ford Edge southbound behind Bell’s vehicle, failed to stop in time, and struck Bell’s vehicle in the rear. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 19, an accident occurred on Barter’s Island Road in Boothbay involving Mathew J. Mullins, 28, of Georgetown. Mullins was backing his 2008 Chevrolet 1500 down a boat ramp to launch a boat. The right-side trailer wheel separated from the trailer, which caused the truck and trailer to jackknife and become submerged in the water. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 19, an accident occurred on Atkins Road in Jefferson involving Michelle L. Hodgkins, 49, of Jefferson, and Bonnie L. Waltz, 59, of Newcastle. Hodgkins stopped her 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a stop sign at Atkins Road and South Clary Road. Waltz was backing her 2012 Ford Focus from a driveway on Atkins Road. While Hodgkins was at the stop sign, she observed an object in the roadway in front of her vehicle. As a result, Hodgkins began to back up. While backing up, she backed into Waltz’s vehicle, as it was backing out of the driveway. Deputy Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.
