The Boothbay Harbor Police Department has arrested a 55-year-old Edgecomb man and a 22-year-old Boothbay man for allegedly robbing another man at gunpoint in a hotel room on Atlantic Avenue early Sunday, Sept. 18.
Jeff Cusumano, 55, of Edgecomb, and Tucker Lewis, 22, of Boothbay, face a single charge each of class A robbery.
At about 2:34 a.m. Sunday, Boothbay Harbor Officer Tom Chryplewicz responded to the hotel room after receiving the report of the robbery. The victim sustained minor injuries during the event and was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
Boothbay Harbor Officers Chryplewicz, Larry Brown, Nick Upham, and Chief Robert Hasch investigated the incident with the assistance of Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Detective Jared Mitkus and Detective Sgt. Ronald Rollins.
Chryplewicz arrested Lewis at about 12:35 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19. Brown arrested Cusumano at about 3 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20.
