The Commissioner has issued a 10-year lease, DAM GL4 on an 8.02-acre site located near Goose Ledges, Damariscotta River, Newcastle and Damariscotta, Maine to Pemaquid Oyster Company, Inc. of Waldoboro, Maine for bottom cultivation of American/Eastern oysters, European oysters, hard clams, Atlantic surf clams, and razor clams. The lease must be marked in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard and DMR requirements. Other public uses that are not inconsistent with the purposes of the lease are allowed by the lease statutes, 12 MRS §§ 6072, 6072-A, & 6072-B.
