The Town of Westport Island is conducting a competitive bid process for Pre- and Post-Paving Road Work on approximately 10,982 feet of town roads. Specs may be picked up at the Town Office during regular office hours: Tuesdays – 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Thursdays – 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Town Office on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 4:00 pm with Project Manager Jim Cromwell and the Selectmen. Bids will close at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Town Office, 6 Fowles Point Road, Westport Island, Maine 04578, at 7:00 pm on September 3, 2019.
The project involves ditching, culvert replacement, tree work, removal of a rock/stump, shoulder and bevel work and finish work to prepare for and complete finish work on a paving project to be bid separately on sections of four roads. The Selectmen reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to act in the best interest of the Town.
