is intending to file a Traffic Movement Permit application with the Maine Department of Transportation pursuant to the provisions of 23 M.R.S.A. §704 – A on or about July 17, 2017. This application is for the development of a proposed retail development in Damariscotta, Maine. The proposed development is to include a 13,000 sf retail store, a 9,000 sf retail store, a 5,525 sf restaurant or retail building, and a 3,500 sf bank with two drive-thru lanes. The project is forecast to generate 248 and 224 AM and PM weekday peak hour of the generator trip ends respectively. The project is expected to open in 2018. The site is located at 435 Main Street (Route 1B) in Damariscotta, Maine.
A request for a public hearing must be received by the Town, in writing no later than 20 days after the application is found by the department to be complete and is accepted for processing. Public comment on the application will be accepted throughout the processing of the application. The application will be filed for public inspection at the Department of Transportation’s office in Augusta (Region 2) during normal working hours. A copy of the application may also be seen at the municipal offices in Damariscotta, Maine.
