Sealed bids will be accepted by the Town of Waldoboro on the following tax acquired properties:
ITEM 1) Town Map R19, Lot 36, 43.58 acres, vacant land, located at 553 Castner Road, formerly owned by Marie Taplin.
ITEM 2) Town Map R16, Lot 56-6, 56’ x 14’ Oxford mobile home, located at 95 Sunset Ridge Road, formerly owned by Michael Stover.
ITEM 3) Town Map R2, Lot 36, 1973 Westbrook 12’ x 64’ mobile home, located at 189 Gross Neck Road, formerly owned by Norma Carter.
Bids will be accepted at the Town Office, PO Box J, 1600 Atlantic Highway, Waldoboro, ME 04572, until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened. Each bid shall be plainly marked “BID ON TAX ACQUIRED PROPERTY” and shall identify the specific Item Number as shown above. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. If the highest bids are equal, the bid first received shall be considered the highest bid.
It is anticipated that bids will be considered at the meeting of the Board of Selectmen at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018. The Selectmen reserve the right to reject any or all bids.
Full payment for awarded bids shall be made to the Town no later than May 29, 2018. The Town will issue quitclaim deeds and shall not be responsible for any condition of the property or any personal property that may be present.
