Sealed bid proposals for three roof projects will be received by the Bristol Parks and Recreation Department via email submission to Bristolparks@tidewater.net.
Bids will be accepted at the above email address until 3:00 O’CLOCK P.M., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 after which they will not be received or accepted. A summary of all bids received will be provided to bidders upon request.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In general, this project includes:
1. Reroofing three buildings at 3115 Bristol Road (Lighthouse Keeper’s House, Bell Tower and Oil House) with architectural shingles
2. Repairing storm damage to the roofs on the shed and Learning Center at 3115 Bristol Road.
3. Reroofing the historical Harrington Meeting House (with wooden shingles) located at 278 Harrington Road in Bristol.
TYPE OF BID
Bids shall be on a price basis and shall include the price to complete each of the three sections of the projects separately and also one price to complete all three projects.
PREQUALIFICATION
Each bid must be accompanied by a list of at least three projects completed that demonstrate expertise in roofing.
PREBID CONFERENCE
A prebid conference will be held at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 9am.
Attendees will be able to inspect all three properties.
COMPLETION DATES
Work shall be completed no later than April 30, 2018.
OWNER’S RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS
Bristol Parks and Recreation reserves the right to reject any or all bids and shall select a preferred contractor based on experience and value to the project. Bristol Parks and Recreation also reserves the right to award any one part of the project separately.
