The Select Board will hold a public hearing Tuesday, May 15 at 6:00 p.m. at the Whitefield Fire & Rescue Station located at 24 Townhouse Rd. to discuss extending a moratorium on marijuana establishments.
On December 6, 2017 residents voted in favor of a Moratorium Ordinance on marijuana establishments which temporarily prohibits the operation of retail marijuana social clubs, retail marijuana establishments, including stores, cultivation facilities for non-medicinal purposes, manufacturing facilities and testing facilities.
The proposed 180-day extension of the moratorium would take effect immediately. A copy of the proposed Moratorium Ordinance can be found on the town’s website, www.townofwhitefield.com, or by contacting the Town Office at 549-5175.
