c. Roof job to be completed between June 20 – August 17, 2018.
d. References of similar size projects to be attached to your bid.
e. Certificate of Insurance to be included with the bid.
f. Bids to be opened on Monday June 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Office of the Superintendent located at 51 Emery Lane in Boothbay Harbor Me. 04538.
g. The Superintendent of Schools and or the members of the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD, Board of Trustee’s, reserve the
right to waive all formalities, and to reject any and all bids (and to accept any bid).
Roof Information
1. All work will be completed in accordance with applicable OSHA safety standards.
2. Remove the existing roofi ng materials down to the wooden deck.
3. Remove discontinued roof penetrations.
4. Install new wooden nailers along the perimeter as required.
5. Install two layers of 3” polyisocyanurate insulation, and tapered crickets (located between the roof drains) mechanically fasten into the deck with roof system manufacturer approved screws and plates.
6. Fully adhere a .060 EPDM membrane, manufactured by Firestone Building Products, to the new insulation.
7. Install new dark bronze colored 24-gauge steel edge detail along perimeter.
8. Re-use existing cast iron roof drains, installing a 4’ x 4’ tapered sump. Replace domes, clamping ring and clamps as required.
9. The work includes a minimum of a 15-year limited membrane system warranty from the manufacture.
10. *Note: Owner responsible for any interior disconnects and interior fi nishes at all discontinued penetrations.
11. Replace any deteriorated or damaged roof decking as needed.
*To be completed as a change order to the base contract, after review with the facilities manager, Dave Benner.
12. Once the project is completed the grounds surrounding the work area, should be restored to the previous state (no debris).
13. List all warranties including but not limited to the Manufactures Warranty on materials & supplies and workmanship warranty.
14. Provide hourly labor rate for all work to be completed for any additional change orders.
